1. Maya Rigging Fundamentals - Introduction

Course description

Autodesk Maya is one of the most popular 3D programs currently being used worldwide by visual effects and game development studios. Animation is one area where it excels but before someone can animate a character, creature or object it needs to be rigged, but what is rigging? In this first course I will introduce you to some of the fundamental areas, tools and terminoligy associated with rigging. Once those are covered we will then continue to dive deeper into them in future courses so by the end you will be confident enough to build your own character rigs. Covered in this course are deformers, controls, connections and constraints, inverse and forward kinematics, set driven keys and nodes and finally, scripting.
