Erik Noren: Head of Product at Tadaweb

Erik Noren

Erik Noren is a passionate and experienced leader in the world of software development and a dedicated advocate for fostering growth and empowering individuals. With over two decades of experience, Erik has honed his expertise across borders, collaborating with exceptional teams around the world. Through continuous self-reflection and an authentic, humble, and vulnerable approach to building trust, Erik has cultivated an invaluable wealth of knowledge that he generously shares through mentorship and advice.

Committed to nurturing the next generation of professionals, Erik encourages others to embrace their genuine selves and express their core values. When asked what advice he would offer younger people, Erik reinforced this core principle with a simple message – “Never think you need to change who you are as a person to fit into the professional world. Be your true self. The key is to develop your leadership style in line with your own personality and personal values. In doing this, you will be able to develop stronger working relationships and set yourself up for a more sustainable career for the long term.”

Currently serving as the Head of Product at Tadaweb, Erik Noren deeply understands vital soft skills, including exceptional leadership, effective communication, high emotional intelligence, strong teamwork abilities, and genuine empathy. Evidencing Erik’s belief in the importance of such skills, he said, “It’s difficult to think of a situation where soft skills did not help overcome a tough situation. As long as you’re part of an organisation with other people and you need other people to get your work done, you’re going to need to build relationships.”

With a deep-rooted passion for technology and a relentless drive to empower the human mind, Erik is dedicated to providing the right information and guiding organisations transparently and ethically.

Getting to Know Erik Noren

Erik has built an incredible track record throughout his career, collaborating with exceptional innovators who have made a lasting impact on the world. Discussing his favourite parts of the industry, Erik offered, “It’s so dynamic! It’s pretty much impossible to get bored; the challenge is to keep up with the frenetic pace of change.”

Erik’s favourite quote, “Stupidity got us into this mess, and stupidity will get us out”, as famously said by Homer Simpson, underscores his belief in the importance of critical thinking and intelligent decision-making. Erik’s unwavering commitment to excellence and his desire to positively impact the world set him apart, making him a true trailblazer in his field.

Driven by his dedication to creating meaningful solutions, Erik’s ultimate goal is to develop something remarkable that will enable individuals to unlock themselves. Indeed, when asked what he hopes to contribute to his industry, Erik said, “It’s pretty simple for me really. I just want to build cool stuff and help people realise their full potential.” He strives to bridge the gap between technology and human experiences with every endeavour, ensuring that innovation is harnessed for the greater good.

Beyond the realm of business, Erik is also passionate about teaching others. However, he refreshingly recognises the personal benefits that teaching can offer both himself and his students. When asked what drives his desire to teach, Erik candidly suggested, “It’s just what fuels my batteries and gives me the energy to really drive forward in the rest of my work. So, from that perspective, I guess it’s kind of a selfish thing!”

Still, Erik’s potential students should have no doubts about the value of studying with him. He encourages his students to learn from his journey, providing them with the confidence and enthusiasm needed to embark on their own ventures. “I hope people can learn from my experience and go into setting up a remote or hybrid team with their eyes open and prepared for the challenges they will face”, he said.

“The challenges are many, but the reward of having access to talent wherever they live is worth it!” Moreover, Erik aspires to share with his students the importance of his core values – honesty, humility, vulnerability, and trust.
